¤ Travelling Brazil
|
Thinking about going to Brazil , I think you are a very smug person. Brazil is a thrilling country with abundance to see and do and a very affectionate people who adore receiving and contribute with whoever is interested enough to make acquaintances with them.
Rio is a huge city and like every other city around the world, you have to be cautious. Rio has many superb places that are sure to take the breath away. The beaches of Rio will be a charming memory to tourists. Vendors on foot by advertising everything from sun glasses to shrimps. The service is nice. Now, if you are a family and you are looking to really just enjoy the sun and beach on a weekday. It is so enormous it never really seems to be that full but you will not be avoiding that jam pack. Botanical Gardens on Sundays. It's quiet and nice and you can see a lot of very cool things, feed the fish and pelicans on the pond. Visitors can also take a thrilling hike up the many hidden waterfalls that make you forget completely that you are right in one of the biggest cities in the world. It reflects more like a tropical jungle. By the way go to the Amazon and take a jungle tour. There is no grounds not to see the enchanting rainforest in Brazil and the world and it will be a life time observation which recall your memory when you will all alone or you will be share your visit by telling these stories to others. Brazil travel is all fun, run and drum. Dancing festivals or religious fiesta has colors in their executions. There is no doubt that Brazil is a Queen of South America.

¤ South American Soul - Argentina
|
The people of Buenos Aires , who refer to themselves as port people, enjoy their bind to Europe , exhibit their original energy, glee in culture, fashion and food and share a conventional miserable for things past. Buenos Aires was founded in 1536. The city thrived. Buildings went up, each more splendid than the last. Buenos Aires became a city of society and fashion, the trendsetter of the Americas . Today Buenos Aires is enormous, yet easily easy to get to by suburbs. The portions of most interest to visitors surround the compact central area around the Avenida 9 de Julio, the widest avenue in the world, which runs the exclusive northern suburbs. The charm of Buenos Aires for many visitors lies in the neighborhoods known as barrios . There are many tourists never sees unless they go out from the center into the newer suburbs but the most famous ones surround the center of the city and have their roots in the city's history. We arrived in Buenos Aires where our local hosts were waiting for us in a comfy vehicle to take us to our hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were treated beautifully, with charm and great service. On our first night we decided to go watch Tango. The music was amazing and the show in general breath-taking. It was such an intense moment, really. Looking back, it's hard to forget the dancer's faces and the feelings they triggered in me.
As days passed, I realized that everything I had imagined about this place was better and better. While in Buenos Aires , we took pleasant bike rides, visited beautiful parks, visited museums and the Colon Theatre, went to excellent restaurants, went to Palermo neighborhood and shopped. We also had the chance to meet several locals from who we learnt a great deal about Argentina : it's ups and downs, the complexity of the political & economic downturns, the people's reminiscence of past better times. Our days in Buenos Aires were just the beginning. As we were driving us to our hotel, I couldn't help but thanking life for the marvels of nature. Curvy roads next to clear lakes, snow tipped volcanoes and a light blue- yellowish ski, were the complements of this enchanting scenery. Every day in Patagonia was like a dream. I wish that I could regress there. |

¤ South American Andes And Treasure
|
The Bolivian Altiplano extended to the sphere in all directions, broken only by uneven mountains that floated in a sparkling, salt tinged hallucination in the distance. The bright blue sky equally stretched everywhere to the horizon, flawless by the smallest cloud, until amalgamation with land in the distance. The burning white sun constituted the sole occupant of the sky, and although its rays burned my skin and faded my clothes within days, no warmth seemed to radiate from that sphere. Instead, the sharp wind tore through my layers of clothes, scary me even as I was being tanned. The thin air, lack of vegetation to provide outlook of distance, the span of blue sky, and glowing sun collective to induce a separate, dreamlike state in which concepts of distance and time stopped to have meaning. The village below was laid out in a grid, consisting of four streets by five streets, and it appears that little changed since the 16th Century. There was no electricity, no running water, and no source of heat except wood. The source of water that was available was frozen except for two hours in the afternoon. The village appeared to have some natural defense, concealed by a circle of volcanic hills. In local teachings, these three great rock spires were known as the Three Giants. The countless miners who toiled to wrest high grade ore from wide silver veins would have found it impossible to recognize this as silver ore. How ironic that for centuries, miners had removed silver ore from the district until all thought it tired, when in fact the vast mass of silver occurred in this white, brittle rock, unseen to the naked eye. As often occurs in life, great fortune may lie at our very feet if only we could but identify it. |

¤ Galapagos Islands of Ecuador
|
The mere name stirs up visions of giant tortoises, strange reptiles and exotic birds. The island's reputation is well earned, for a holiday is much like on foot through a cage less zoo. A numerous of species co habitat here. Unnecessary to say, the Galapagos Islands are heaven for photographers and bird watchers. Since the islands are an ecological reserve, under the jurisdiction of the parks system, the number of visitors allowed each year is strictly limited. Various government fees and taxes were collected at points along the trip.San Cristobal's runway dead ends a few short feet from land's end, making for an exciting landing. After checking through immigration, we were bussed to the town's small harbor. Brilliant turquoise water kissed San Cristobal 's shoreline. Sea lions were plentiful either frolicking in the sea or basking on the sun baked shore.
The tourists were delighted to already be seeing animals, but our guides guaranteed us that it was only the beginning. The site of the crystal blue water had us as excited as children on the first day of summer. We suited up, boarded the panga and embarked on our first adventure of the trip.
As clear as the water appeared from the boat, visibility while snorkeling was only about twenty to thirty feet. There were a few colorful fish to be seen, but the most interesting part of this experience was swimming. After that some time in evening we have started the second leg of our trip. At about midnight, the motors started and we began a six hour journey to Genovesa Island at the northeast portion of the Galapagos. Most nights were spent traveling. I was rocked to sleep with a mild ocean perfumed breeze blowing through my open cabin window, and the sound of water quickening against the side of the moving boat. |

¤ Peru Touring
|
One of the essence of Peru traveling is to explore the Cotahuasi Canyon which is in southern Peru is 1,850 metres (6,000 ft) deeper than the Grand Canyon, you're no doubt amazed. But if I tell you that the Cotahuasi Canyon also happens to be the deepest canyon in the world, it's now entered into that great ‘Must-See Places' under the sky. On the journey to the canyon, one circles Peru 's third-highest peak, Coropuna, its set of three snow-capped incisors biting into lapis skies at nearly 6,500 metres. Shallow rivers wind their way in volcanic beds across the landscape. One's first impression of Cotahuasi is the landscape's pure scale. It rises up from its soft bottom, up through acme of terraces. The Cotahuasi Canyon has been inhabited for generations, and was an important route linking the Pacific coast with the Inca capital of Cuzco in the highlands to the northwest. There are several ruins from the Wari cultures can be found all over there.
In Cotahuasi, we had supper in a restaurant run by a busying lady in her forties. A television blared an action movie in the corner, arachnid electrical arrangements provided lighting and we shared a long table with the other clients who ebbed and flowed in and out. The food was excellent. They're not the only ones. The next morning we were up at the canyon's rim soon after dawn, the morning sun lighting its tawny western flanks, feeling its way down to the river bed like a blind man tapping with his cane. The rest of the vast scene remained hidden from it, washed in hazy violet, hoarding its dew, reluctant to give up its secrets so easily. To me this trip was worth memorable and recalling it for sharing with others to me the Cotahuasi Canyon is one of the arduous spots. |

¤ Chile Adventure
|
Beaches of Chile South America awesome, if some one likes to build a hut or smaller lodge then the Prices for a lot range about couple of thousand dollars, depending on the size and locations preferred. The variety of places, where a small cabin would make one sense so warm and at home in the surroundings. The coastal areas of Chile have a lot to propose anyone who is thinking of living there. Going into the main part of downtown Vina, you will find tons of street vendors selling anything from oil on canvas paintings of seascapes, to handcrafted leather items and more. There's much to see and do and there are more small curio shops then I've ever seen in my life in Vina. If you're looking to collect unique and rare items, this would be the place to start. There's fine dining in Vina but if you want something fast and simple there are tons of cafes and fast food type of restaurants. Fine dining is great but this city is one with people on the move who don't always want to take the time to enjoy a fine cuisine. Everybody's coming and going at all times of day and night, with same energy and the same excitement. During the month of February, a singing Festival has been held each year. The first is the international competition, which traditionally has around ten countries taking part; then there is the folk section, with performers coming from all over Chile .
Valparaiso is more or less a historical monument, the whole city, it's ancient but this is its attraction and temperament, the city of Valparaiso has been called “The Vertical City” because it was built on large hills. A real delicacy in Valparaiso , is a ride on an ascensore. The shops and stores are in the lower part of the city but the residential living is in the hilltop areas. It has always reminded me of touring part of the Europe, and once you've walked down the streets you'll feel the European influence too, even some of the street names are French. There are several good cafes that are French in name also. The apartment buildings are old and Chile is a country that is only interested in what's new and seemingly modern. Most do not wish to live in an older building.
If you love photography, then these areas are a photographers dream! Even if you're not a great photographer, take lots of pictures anyway! You'll be pleased afterward you did. There's no way you can come to any of these towns and not leave with a superior feeling. I personally, doubt one can come here and not entertain the idea of moving and living there. |

¤ Honeymoon In The Mountains |
If you're getting married in the next few months, you need to seriously consider having your honeymoon in the mountains. Getting a hotel room is cheesy and predictable. Surprise your bride with a secluded cabin in the mountains that you can turn into your own little "love nest". Don't worry if your bride doesn't like to rough it, these cabins are fully furnished and even have a two-person hot tub on the deck so you can get a "little lovin" in the outdoors in complete privacy. My family and I just had one of the most awesome and relaxing vacations ever and we spent it in a cabin that was fully furnished. It had a pool table, 2 indoor jacuzzis and an 2 person hot tub on the deck overlooking the mountains. This cabin was called Sunset Symphony and the view was unbelievable, the wildlife was abundant and the love was flowing. Now when I say cabin, don't think for one minute that this was a cabin like the old settlers used to call home. This cabin was more like a luxury vacation home than a log cabin. The price range for the cabin was from $130-160 per night with a 2 night minimum and a price break if you stay more than 3 nights. You are 15 minutes from the Great Smokey Mountains National park , 45 minutes from Knoxville , and only 5 minutes from true outlet shopping. The Smokey Mountains offer some of the best times and places to create lasting memories with the love of your life. Make sure you take a hike to one of the many waterfalls and be certain to do a horseback ride. If you want to find the best deals on cabins, you can go to the cabin clearinghouse. Our cabin was rented from Fireside and made our reservation over the phone. You must call for current availability. Have a great honeymoon and visit the mountains, you'll be glad you did.

¤ Exciting Brazil Vacation |
Most people think of rainforests, tropical beauty and the Carnival when Brazil comes to mind. It's a fascinating and mysterious country, with a lot to offer visitors. Some of the best include warm people and luscious natural beauty. Brazil has many social problems in its urban environments. It's not the destination of choice for many, but for those who do visit, they never forget the experience.
The population consists of about 175 million Portuguese speaking people. Sometimes this figure is surprising since we tend to think of Brazil as being primarily rain forests. Sadly, although there are still areas of untouched rain forests, much of it is being clear-cut. Some of this natural beauty is destroyed everyday. There has been a lot of bad press surrounding Brazil lately. Stories broadcast worldwide have emphasized the extreme poverty in some areas. Certainly there are places you should avoid, but they are mainly sections of the larger cities like Rio de Janeiro . Do some research before your trip so you'll know where it's safe to travel and which areas to avoid. As long as you know the prevailing social conditions, you should be safe. Brazil is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean and is a land of beautiful beaches and plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports. Ipanema Beach is the most famous beach in Brazil . Located in Rio de Janeiro , Ipanema Beach is covered with beautiful people, most wearing next to nothing. Perhaps not the best family destination, but if you enjoy people watching this is the place to be. Rio de Janeiro is a wonderful city which you must not miss.
Rio has a wonderful landscape with mountains and islands. Rio is famous for the sugar loaf mountain and statue of Christ the Redeemer. The people of Rio enjoy partying up to the wee hours of the morning. It is a city that is best visited during the carnival to have oodles of fun. One excellent day trip to work into your itinerary is the Amazon rainforest. You will find bird species and plants, the likes of which you've never seen. You may also stumble across abandoned Indian river villages. With so much "progress" going on, tribes have had to relocate deeper into the Amazon country. If you are looking for something a little less touristy and unique, head to Jericoacoara. Jericoacoara is a small fishing village, and it's slowly gaining in popularity with tourists, but mainly back packers. It's a beautiful little area where the wind surfing is great, and you can just relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities for a few days. If you are traveling by air then the largest airport in Brazil is Rio . But depending on where you are flying from, you can choose the city you wish to land at. To visit different parts of Brazil , air travel is the best option as Brazil is a big country. Air travel is very costly and the next best option is to take a bus ride which allows you to enjoy the wonderful surrounding while traveling. Brazil is a wonderful country filled with wonderful people. While it has had its problems in the past, many people still flock to the balmy temperatures and fun loving atmosphere that the Brazilian people have cultivated.

¤ Exploring Chile |
Chile is an appealing and adventurous place to visit. Chile is situated on the west coast of South America. This is wild and rugged country that offers charms void in developed countries. This country has a unique grace which makes it a different and wonderful destination for the tourists to enjoy. The nature that can be found in Chile is breathtaking. If you love adventure you won't be disappointed as you view craggy mountains, deserted beaches, overgrown forests, and spouting geysers. For the less adventurous there is the magnetism of the urban city of Santiago, with its population of five million. The culture that can be found in Chile may amaze you, since many people think of Chile as one of the lesser known countries of South America. However, Chile has a strong European background, and this influence of Europe is what gives it a strong appeal to tourists from the west. There is a large Parisian feel to some parts of Santiago due to the educating of important Chileans for some many centuries. This French influence can be strongly seen in the art, architecture, and music of many parts of the country. Arts and literature are strong and growing in Chile. The Nobel Prize for literature has twice been brought home to the country of Chile, first by poet Gabriela Mistral, and second by another poet, Pablo Neruda. Music is no forgotten art in Chile, and folk music has long been the release in which the people of Chile have been able to express their feelings after being oppressed by the military coup that occurred in 1973. On your visit to Chile, don't just limit yourself to spending time in Santiago. Besides Santiago, there are other cities that are lovely and thriving. Don't forget to check out the nearby islands. One such island, Chiloe, is only thirty-one miles wide and 112 miles long, but is a beacon of incredible beauty. You can reach Chiloe via a ferry from the mainland. The island is home to several small villages and towns. The inhabitants of these villages build their homes on stilts due to the rain that falls in this area. Don't forget to bring your camera. You'll want pictures to remember the breathtaking site of volcanoes on the mainland that can be seen from this island paradise. Torres del Paine National Park is another place which should be included in your must visit list. This park allows you enjoy nature in its pure form. Known as a biosphere park, this offers you the experience of waterfalls and glaciers. You can also have fun wandering though the strange and thick forests. For a befitting end to your busy day, select and relish from a variety of Chilean cuisine ranging from seafood, beef, fruits, and vegetables. "Empanadas", is a well known snack food available on the streets of Chile and comes with a variety of fillings. Another snack food which is known to the westerns as the corn tamales is the "humitas", which is very delicious and deserves a try. Bread is a central part of the Chileans cuisine, so you will you'll find a varied selection wherever you go. Potato bread is a particular favorite. One of most popular meals among Chileans is "lomo a lo pobre". Lomo a lo pobre is made by placing two fried eggs on top of a large piece of beef and serving with chips. Tourist should definitely give lomo a lo pobre a try. Visiting Chile is a very satisfying experience since it is packed with fun and frolic. The beauty of nature can be viewed at its best and its uniqueness will give you an experience of your lifetime. You will like to visit Chile more often owing to the variety of experience if offers. |
