¤ Food Served During Asia Travel |
Food and eating are taken quite sincerely in Asia . Foods in Asia are aromatic and pleasantly arranged, and present much tasty variety of dishes. The most characteristic aspect of Asian cuisines is the notice given to how the food is cut before it is cooked or assembled. Cutting takes on chief importance to guarantee that the presentation and taste are at their best. The visual placement of food on a dish is more important than the size of the serving. Business traveling to Asia , you will be invited to or will host many dinners. HONG KONG AND TAIWAN There are many styles of Chinese food that originated in different regions of China . Areas near the shorelines, such as Shanghai , feature more fish in their dishes, while inland regions such as Szechwan use more spices, which help preserve food. If you plan to host a business dinner in Hong Kong or Taiwan , it is helpful to know that Cantonese cuisine is preferred in Hong Kong and Shanghai cuisine in Taiwan . Taiwan also has a style all its own. Chinese food offers rich choices for vegetarians.
Chinese tables are most frequently round, with a rotating server set in the center. Food is shared. Each diner, who is provided with a small plate or plates, takes food from the dishes on the server and then rotates it to the next person. Toasting occurs often during Chinese dinners, more so in Taiwan and Hong Kong than in Singapore . Toasts are not as copious in Korea . Toasting is a celebration of the time you and your associates have spent together and a time to acknowledge your "friendship" and business relationship.

¤ Visiting China Wall |
The Great Wall of China as some believed originated as a military fortification against invasion by tribes on the boundaries during the earlier Zhou Dynasty. The states extended the protection work, and built large structures to avoid the impact from other states. The Great Wall of China was finally alienated during the Qin Dynasty. The kingdoms were linked to form a defensive system on the edge of the country , the building of the Great Wall of China was on its way. The Great Wall of China took as long as ten years to build. The Great Wall of China thousands of laborers working every day ahead of human limitations to erect and build. Lots of persons that did not work were thrown into the foundation trenches starving from hunger and experience of the earths changing weathers. The Great Wall of China was then called The Longest Cemetery on globe.
The Great Wall was stretched from Linzhao (eastern part of Gansu Province ), in the west to Liaodong ( Jilin Province ) in the east. The Wall of China has abundant trees, and its purpose was to serve as a barrier from the dust storms that swept into China from the Gobi Desert and other low-rainfall areas. The Great Wall of China towered China 's mountains, dipping to the lower valleys, and marching across ablaze desert plains. Today the this Wall of China is a fascination for tourists around the world.

¤ Experiencing Asian Gala |
My traveling experience of Asian countries visit is marvelous. My visit of Taiwan is taken over by this world-renowned Asian gala – a must for travelers in the area because of its stunning procession with the center of the 160 temple celebration are in Taipei . Worshippers attending the city wide procession throw themselves on the ground to be stepped upon, as to get rid of of their demons. In the month of May, things get very loud for Asian travelers in Thailand. The festival started as a contribution to the gods of the sky, exploding beautiful rockets to persuade rainfall for rice crop growth.
Hong Kong celebrates this odd yearly event. Legend says that the gates of Hades were opened on this day, and the dead who cannot rest were left to run the streets playfully. The fiesta o Monkey god has been celebrated during the month of September at Kowloon 's Sau Mau Ping Temple, by recreating a bizarre attempted execution by other the other gods – which includes such things as a ladder of knives, and charcoal set on fire. Travelers to this strange Asian celebration need not be recorded in pictures or video that event. |

¤ Travel To Thailand |
There are chiefly three seasons in the seasons are, The Hot, The Wet and The Cold. Cold being a rather personal description though, the emergency blankets being handed out in the Northern provinces because of chilly 10 degrees centigrade. So what does each season offer.
Hot Season: If that's your thing then this is the time to come to Thailand , guaranteed sun all day. Sun stroke and dehydration are high up on the list of things to beware of. Bangkok turns into a melt basket of pollution as the winds die and the pollution just hangs around choking up the oxygen. Hotels are at their most expensive during the hot season and weekends will see many of the mid range ones fully booked.
Tropical Season: It's searing, it's soaked and the moisture is brutal. You'll be distressed to take two cold bath a day. Come to Thailand hotels are empty, tourists are away, it's a great time to see Thailand with fewer tourists than common and get the finest prices as even the Thai people stay home at the weekends.
Cold Season: To do see Thailand without burning up. This is the best time of the year to actually see Thailand , you'll enjoy seeing the sights and touring the cities will be at its best. Again prices will be up and hotels reasonably full. So in short the most excellent time to come to Thailand is the time that suits what you want to do, those looking for bargains will have different needs. |

¤ Beijing Kites |
The China blue sky after winter is kites heaven. When the brilliant blended color kites decorate in the deep blue sky, you can submerge in the happy frame of mind, take pleasure in the rare leisure and carefree, possibly this is the most idealistic thing to watch. Usually three kinds of kites exclusive in their own ways. Most trendy kites are categorized into three kinds: hard wing, soft wing and dragon. Liu Bin said that the hard wing is like a man, older but muscular. Soft wing kites are made especially attractive - dragonfly, butterfly, goldfish, and the list go on and on. Dragon really should be called thread because it is a long kite that is formed by many small.
There are five locations in Beijing are the best for flying kites. There are couples of things you need to pay consideration when choosing a kite – pattern & strength. Beijing has quite a few places that are model for flying kites.
» Tiananmen Square
» Chaoyang Park
» Panda Rotary
» Century World
» Amusement Park
It is indeed a tourist exuberant while attending this kite fiesta. See you in China's Beijing kite flying festival. |

¤ Maldives Tour |
The Maldives has been one of the most admired holiday destinations in the Indian Ocean for many years and reasonably so. The introduction of cheap flights from a variety of UK airports and the profusion of superior quality and inexpensive lodging has opened up this collection of some 1000 coral island to those of us that want to see the world. Many of these islands are reachable from Male by speed boat, as familiar in the Maldives as cars are in the western world. The sketch of calming on beautiful safe beaches under year round warm sunshine in crystal clear blue sea to view shells of tropical fish has proved too much for many of us to oppose.
Some have become quite classy with mod cons such as air conditioning, swimming pools and luxury spa's, a choice of restaurants and amusement where as others have retained the typical damaged roofs, open air bathrooms, unheated water and few facilities. Surrounded by crystal clear water it's not surprising that these peaceful coral islands rank amongst the best diving destinations in the world. This is a destination to take pleasure in the magnificent surroundings and share in some of the several activities at your time off.
The exceptional beauty of the superb submarine world has made these islands one of the most captivating diving destinations in the world. There are many dive sites catering for all levels of diver providing the opportunity to explore nature beneath the sea and if diving's not for you there is some superb reef's idea for snorkeling where visibility sometimes exceeds 75 meters. The rainfall is at its highest during the south-west monsoon, normally May through to November. Having just returned from a relaxing week lying in the sun and mixing with my fellow holiday maker I was staggered to realize just how many people thought they'd just go for a walk around the local town or would eat in a variety of local restaurants. Due to requisite almost everything has to be imported to these tiny islands and many extras can be expensive but its possible to pre pay for most things in the UK and I assure you, a small price to pay to swim in the warm blue waters amongst tropical fish and to experience the carving beauty that makes the Maldives of Asia a destination that everyone should visit. |

¤ Rush To Philippines |
Few can argue that the tiny island in central Philippines is nothing less than spectacular. With approximately 3-4 kilometer long white beach, some of the cheapest prices on earth and perhaps best of all plenty of Filipino charm and hospitality, Philippine is truly a marvel to watch. Anyone who has been there will tell you that it is a wonderful place to spend a vacation. Families love Boracay (small island in Philippines ) because it is a secure, inexpensive and offers plenty activity options for those on the go. Ladies will love the vendors selling jewelry on the boardwalk, and growing number of fashionable gift shops, selling everything. Males will surely enjoy a massage on the beach, plenty of cold drinks and plenty of great restaurants around the beach.
During climax season this beach is absolutely full of life with activity. If you plan to visit during peak season, be sure to plan your trip months in advance. During peak season, it has a very cheerful feeling and is crowded with people, events and activities almost every day. A short drive to the back of the island for example, and you can explore the famous bat caves, enjoy some local cuisine at any number of beach front cafes just enjoy a care free day of fresh air riding in the hills of Boracay. What ever your Philippine travel procedure, don't overlook this world famed travel end.

¤ Online Travel Industry |
| Internet travel bookings have been very prosperous these past couple of years. During the first three months of 2005, Internet travel bookings grew about 20 percent in the United States from the year earlier. Companies like Expedia, Travelocity, and Orbitz are putting more emphasis on selling to corporations and expanding in foreign markets. Travel has become one of the Web's most developed categories. According to comScore, “online leisure travel bookings reached about $51 billion last year, or 44 percent of all online sales. Roughly 30 percent of all travel bookings occur online, which is a far greater share than retailing stores.” Between 2001 and 2003, leisure travel bookings more than tripled to $43 billion.
After the September 2001 attacks, the travel supplier industry had to take action in order to stay profitable. The industries tried desperately to reach consumers by offering discounted airfares and hotel prices, but the industry did not have enough money to support the advertising and marketing of these bargains and deals that they offered after the September attacks. The industry then turned to companies like Expedia, Travelocity, Orbitz, and Priceline in order to advertise their bargains. These companies became great allies to the suppliers by selling hotel and airline bookings at hefty prices.
In order to save even more money, the travel industry began to reduce the number of cut-rate rooms and airline seats they offered through travel agencies, while increasing efforts to attract customers directly to their Web sites, where they could sell their products commission-free.
The travel industry has benefited greatly as a result of internet and information systems technology. It has basically become a standard when planning vacations and trips. It has made the search process far easier than if one were to use the telephone. E-commerce in the travel industry has become a key asset in creating more convenience to it's customers. |

¤ Tourism |
In truth, the attributes of tourism have changed rapidly during the
twentieth century. Today, it is virtually impossible even to avoid the
effect that the tourism industry has on the world. On the following
lines I shall in an explaining voice treat the subject of tourism and I
wager you'll find it rather interesting. First and for most; Why do we
become tourists? What is this incredible force, which drives us to leave
the safe shelter of our homes to travel to places some times thousands
of miles from our native lands? Well, in order to answer that, we need
to find out the benefits of tourism. It's usually us people from the
richer countries in the west that travel abroad as tourists. This
became possible during the early twentieth century, when the industrial
revolution had reached most western countries in a big way, and the
governments had begun to get more and more democratic. They started to
have governmental foundings with the intention of giving people who
worked in different sectors their wages in sp Although, most Americans
would probably not be so negative about it. The American Dream that
influences their society speaks for the strength of the individual.
That is, if you really want to be rich, you can be, as long as you're
not afraid of working hard. So, people obviously like being tourists,
and the even more obvious reasons for that can be the need for
something different to occur in ones life, not always being stuck in
the same old tracks, over and over again. Or, that we need to relax,
which you apparently can't do at home, only abroad. One classic reason
for tourism is of course that it is a social benefit; You'll get a lot
of attention from people back home both before and after the journey,
which indeed can be just as much, if not more of a pleasure then the
holiday itself. Tourism, according to the Department of National
Heritage, apparently outnumbers most any other line of business, from
construction industry to raising cattle. Today, it is more or less well
known to people that tourism has grown to massive proportions, being
almost the largest industry in the world. This of course brings along
with it heaps of problems, connected to the fact that where there is
money to be earned (and thus power to be controlled), man has neither
moral nor restrictions to prevent her from doing just about all she can
to exploit that source of wealth. In the compendium, there is an
article from the Morning Star that talks about how people in the 70s
considered the tourism a "harmless way to transfer wealth from the
north to the third world". Today there are evidence which speaks of a
terminal degeneration over the last 20 years, where the tourism
industry and tourists weakens third world countries standard as unique
territories into being merely "attractive spots", without either
culture nor sense of dignified nationalism. |

¤ Bangkok Sight |
Bangkok is a very interesting city because in addition to the usual modern buildings of offices, hotels and shopping centers, there are also about 400 exotic Thai temples that seem to stick out among the urban landscape. There are Thai citizens on the streets dressed in modern business clothing as well as Buddhist monks in saffron robes. Yet this is what part of Thailand is. The traditional mixed in with the modern. In fact, it's the traditional attractions that make Thailand so magical. The temples are sights that one just cannot see in the western world. They are like objects that popped out of an Asian fairy tale.
Like many other large Asian cities, Bangkok is congested with traffic, people and pollution. In fact, the air can be bad enough that there are locals wearing surgical masks in the streets. With an average annual temperature of 28 degrees Celsius or 83 degrees Fahrenheit, it can be somewhat uncomfortable outside for some tourists, especially those from northern climates. Also beware that there will be people on the streets who will try to hustle tourists and direct them to their own businesses and tours. But unlike places in the Caribbean, Thais are polite and not aggressive people. For example, once upon arrival at the international airport, there will be people within the terminal including the ones at the booths who will be offering taxi transportation to your hotel. Although these are legit, they will charge a premium compared to the taxis waiting outside the terminal. There is a similar situation at the hotels. The taxis waiting right outside the main hotel entrances do seem to quote more than those waiting on the side streets just further down. The three-wheeled ‘tuk tuk' vehicles also vary a lot so it may be wise to ask for quotes from a few drivers rather than taking the first one you see. The tuk tuks are a fun ride by the way so they should be experienced at least once while in Bangkok. The city also has various public buses and river taxis which are long boats used on the river canal system. A nice way to spend some time is to take a ride on one of these river taxis to cruise the canals which some refer to as the ‘Venice of the East'. |

¤ Travel Philippine |
If you're on the lookout for the world-famous fiestas that only the Philippines could offer, schedule your travel date for January, May or December. The flower season of Baguio described as the summer capital of the Philippines because of its perennially cool weather is something to look forward to. And then there's the Santacruzan during May and which each and every town parades its most beautiful residents in a walk around town.
If you're unable to take the heat and still be merry, then you should not travel to the Philippines during the months of March till May because that's officially the summer season of the country. Everyone head for the nearest beach so if you don't want to feel crowded when you're sunbathing, set your travel date for another time of the year. The Easter season is always busy for everyone in the Philippines so expect a difficult time on reserving transportation when it's Holy Week.
Each and every country has its own unique experience to offer you and when you travel to the Philippines, you should expect the same. |

¤ Travel Sri Lanka |
Throughout the, past centuries Sri Lanka has been going through a dramatic make over. A vast majority of the Sri Lankan community were only influenced by their own traditional food and nothing more. But, due to economical growth and intense competition in developed countries, companies have taken themselves overseas to developing nations, in an attempt to achieve a positive global presence (competitive advantage). Consequently, this method has caused a major ripple effect in countries like Sri Lanka like never before. Currently in some of the major cities in Sri Lanka you should prepare yourself to be dazzled (some may say loss of identity) by the assimilation/influence of western culture into Sri Lankan community. You can now find the presence of American taste represented by McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Kentucky Fried Chicken and so on. This newly brought change does not mean Sri. Lankans stopped practicing their culture and traditions, this just slightly shifted them from their original norm, whether in fact the average Sri Lankan's still continue to eat traditional food such as: Rice and curry, Pittu (mixture of fresh rice meal, every lightly roasted and mixed with fresh grated coconut, then steamed in a bamboo mould). Kiribath(cooked in thick coconut cream for this un sweetened rice-pudding which is accompanied by a sharp chilli relish called "Lunumiris") Wattalapam (rich pudding of Malay origin made of coconut milk, jaggery, cashew nuts, eggs, and various spices including cinnamon cloves and nutmeg. These are only a few out of hundreds of various food types that Sri Lankan consume. A jewle of Asia is Sri Lanka (Historical name Cyelon) |

¤ Hong kong New Year Parade |
The New Year's parade is the biggest event of Hong Kong's Lunar New Year celebration. Close to 300,000 people attend the parade and millions more watch it on television. In recent years the parade has taken place in the evening, featuring vivid, dazzling light displays. The Lunar New Year is one of Hong Kong's most important and well-loved holidays. Each year one of twelve different animals is celebrated, according to the Chinese zodiac. Many of the city's towering skyscrapers are decked out in glittering lights for the holiday. Throughout the three-day celebration, dancers in colorful costumes perform lion and dragon dances in the streets, malls and hotel lobbies. Traditionally, people exchange small, red envelopes filled with money as gifts. Flower markets show up all over the city during the holiday, selling plants and flowers with special significance, and stores and restaurants display flowers meant to bring immortality and good luck.
The New Year celebration usually begins anywhere from January 21 to February 19, depending on the year. While the holiday officially lasts fifteen days, in Hong Kong it is celebrated for three days, with the New Year's parade taking place on the first day. January 29, 2006 is the first day of the forthcoming new year. The day after the New Year's parade a brilliant display of fireworks lights up Hong Kong's famous Victoria Harbour. The fireworks can be viewed from the waterfront or from boats cruising the harbour. On the third day of the celebration a large horse race takes place at the Sha Tin racetrack. This lively race is a favorite for gamblers and horseracing enthusiasts. It's no wonder why so many travel to discover all that Hong Kong has to offer |

¤ Pulau Langkawi - Malaysia |
The name Langkawi technically refers to a group of islands with the largest of the island serving as a focal point. The number of islands changes with the tides. When it is high tide there are 99 islands, when it is low tide, the number increases by 5. Pulau Langkawi is the main island and offers pristine beaches that are not crowded.
Pulau Langkawi is accessible by ferry from Kuala Perlis, Kuala Kedah and Penang. There is an international airport on the island as well. The Malaysian government has spent a lot of money developing this island, putting in infrastructures to promote tourism. Kuah is the island's administrative town and that is where the Malaysian Tourist Board is situated. Stop by to get information about the island so that you can plan your activities for the duration of your stay. If you need to do any banking, do so while you are in Kuah. There are no other banking facilities near the beaches. There are five beaches that have been developed for resorts. They are Pantai Cenang, Pantai Tengah, Pantai Kok, Pantai Datai and Pantai Rhu. Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah are the most developed. The most expensive resorts on the island are on Pantai Datai and Pantai Rhu.
Pulau Langkawi has been dubbed the isle of legends. It is said that long time ago a Malay princess by the name of Mahsuri was wrongfully accused of adultery. Her husband did not believe her pleas of innocence and ordered that both Mahsuri and her alleged lover be tied to posts and speared. In anguish, she cursed all the inhabitants of the island for seven generations. Her grave site is one of the island's attractions. Langkawi Island is a duty free port, thus it is a shopping paradise. This island despite heavy development still retains a lot of rural charm. Phuket Island in Thailand is over crowded and is a tourist trap. Langkawi on the other hand gives the tourist cleaner beaches and is relatively undiscovered by International tourists. But this won't last for long. |

¤ Asian Festivals |
Are you planning to travel to Asia within the next year, and are looking for some fun festivities to attend? Well, look no further – we've researched some of the more incredible Asian festivals for you to check out during your travels.
Travel Asia: Pulilan Carabao Festiva
You'll probably never see a water buffalo adorned quite like this! If you travel to Pulilan in the second week of May, you'll witness the homage to the patron saint of farmers, San Isidro Labrador. Families take their prized water buffalos, scrape away the dirt, shave them, anoint them in oils, and then parade them around the city square dressed as kings. The priests of the Asian city then kneel and ask the buffalos to bless them, promising health and good wishes for the upcoming year to all, including visiting travelers.
Travel Asia: Parade of the God of Medicine
On the 15th day of the third lunar month, the city of Taiwan is taken over by this world-renowned Asian festivity – a must for travelers in the area because of its spectacular parade. At the nucleus of the 160 temple celebration are Pao Sheng in Taipei and the Temple of Ching Tzu in Hseuhchia. Spearheaded by a group called the Centipedes, worshippers attending the city-wide parade throw themselves on the ground to be stepped upon, as a symbolic exorcising of their demons.
Travel Asia: Yasothon Rocket Festival
In the middle of May, things get very noisy for Asian travelers to the Phaya Thaen Park in Thailand. Historically, the festival started as an offering to the gods of the sky, exploding beautiful rockets to encourage rainfall for rice crop growth. Nowadays, event has become something more of a sport, with competitions to see whose rocket can fly the farthest, and whose explodes the most.
Travel Asia: Asakusa Samba
Toyko's version of the Rio Carnaval happens every August, in the Asakusa district. Travelers to Asia and natives alike are amazed by the colorful sequined costumes and feathers of the dancing Samba girls, along with their full bands marching down the street alongside them. |

¤ Indian City Of Varanasi |
Travel to the city of Varanasi and you will travel back in time. No other city in India will impact you more than ancient Varanasi.
One of the oldest cities in the world, Varanasi is located in the upper east area of India and is not far from the border with Nepal. Sitting on the Ganges River, the city is an overwhelming display of crowds, colors and ancient Indian architecture. Roads are packed with people, cars, cows and the pavement is more or less dirt and mud depending upon when you are there.
Architecturally, Varanasi is a typical of India itself. You'll find shanty towns and run down homes laying in contrast to stunning temples and homes of the Maharajas. If you want to be impressed, simply walk down to the Ganges River and look up and down the river. The structures lining the river will remind you of Venice, Italy, without the glitz. The towering structures are both beautiful and ancient.
Following this view, a visit to the Darbhanga Ghat is an eye opener. The massive structure is home to the Maharajas of Dharbhanga of Bihar. The Ghat reeks of power, mysticism and long ago ages. You'll know what I mean when you see it. |

¤ Travel Health Advice |
The best Professional Travel Health Advice about food and drink
on holiday, can easily be summarised as follows
1. The first thing to realise is that unpasteurised milk, non
bottled drinks , and uncooked food, are likely to be
contaminated and therefore possibly unsafe. This does not
include fruit which can be peeled.
2. Use bottled or boiled water for cleaning your teeth.
3. Don't open your mouth and drink water in the shower.
4. Dishes containing raw or undercooked eggs, such as home-made
mayonnaise, some sauces (e.g. hollandaise) and some desserts
(e.g. mousses), are not a good idea.
5. Ice-cream that doesn't have a recognisable international
brand name, and could be made locally, is often contaminated
and could be a danger.
6. When confronted with cooked food, the holiday maker should
ensure that it has been thoroughly and freshly cooked; i.e.
that it is piping hot.
7. Be aware of eating out the day after a public holiday, as
reheated food appears, and it can be dangerous.
8. Foods that are cooked in advance need to be held at a
temperature of below 10 C or above 60 C to ensure their safety.
9. Cooked food left out for some time constitutes one of the
greatest risks of food borne disease. Contaminating or
surviving bacteria may multiply in it if it is. Put another
way, if the food has been cooked but not refrigerated between
cooking and serving, because it has been left out, then you
could be taking a risk eating it. This means attractive cold
buffets are very definitely unsafe if they have been laid out
hours before being eaten.
10. Unpasteurised milk should be boiled before it is drunk.
11. Bottles of drinking water that contain non carbonated water
should be regarded with suspicion, unless you see the seal
broken in front of you, because it could be straight from the
TAP!!
12. Ice should be avoided unless made from safe water.
13. Drinks such as wine or beer hot tea or coffee, and
carbonated soft drinks or fruit juices that are bottled or
otherwise packaged are usually safe to drink.
14. Apply strict hygiene while away especially after using the
bathroom and before you eat food - never use communal, damp
towels in public conveniences! Use disposable paper towels or
hot air.
BASIC TRAVEL HEALTH ADVICE SAYS boil it, cook it, peel it, or
forget it.
