» The Cultural Heritage Centre for Asia and the Pacific is a major centre in the region employing international best practice in cultural heritage education, research and consultancy in support of the protection of the region's cultural heritage in the context of rapid urbanisation and economic and cultural globalisation.

» Language  is a very important part of culture, and Asia has a widespread variety of languages, with most countries having at least one official language . Many regional languages  are also spoken, some enjoying a level of official status or recognition. Other minority languages  are also spoken. The diversity on such a small territory is proverbial.
